Mayan ruins and monarch butterflies first brought Kay and Dean Michaels to Mexico. But, it was Mezcal that enticed them to Oaxaca. The warmth of its people, amazing food, and diverse culture all conspire to keep them in this very special city that they now call home.
Kay and Dean started Oaxaca Eats Food Tours to share the things they loved about Oaxaca — Mezcal, mole y mas (and more) — and, to give back to the community. In the spirit of guelaguetza, which means "to share" in the Zapotec language, we hope others will eat, drink and discover the magic of Oaxaca.
• Share the gastronomic richness of Oaxaca with people from all over the world
• Hire local tour coordinators and support businesses passionate about their culture and cuisine
• Give back to the community through charitable donations
Owners, Kay and Dean Michaels. Buen provecho!
