Lorena Rubio, Owner

As the owner of Oaxaca Eats Food Tours, Lorena brings her enthusiasm and tourism background to promote her beautiful city, give back to her community, and create incredible and enriching experiences for travelers.

Born and raised in Oaxaca de Juarez, Lorena joined Oaxaca Eats Food Tours as a tour guide, and later a manager, to proudly share her love of culture, traditional food, and mezcal to travelers from all over the world.

Kay and Dean Michaels, Founders

Kay and Dean started Oaxaca Eats Food Tours in 2018 to share with others what they loved about Oaxaca, the food, history and culture, and to give back to the community that had welcomed them so warmly.

In 2022, with great confidence and pride they transferred ownership to their tour manager and guide Lorena Rubio.
